My name...isn't as important to me as much as my life is, or the people in it. Life is full of ups and downs, and i wouldn't want it any other way =). Sometimes its a horrible nightmare full of chaos and despair that it just won't seem to end. Other times it feels like a dream...so sweet, innocent, and fragile..you wouldn't dare stir an inch to let it escape. Everyday is like a new start with endless possibilities...i hope my blog distinguishes life in every possible way.

Time Flies!
What can i say? I started a new job with two different responsibilities. I plan on going back to school in spring and my dad doesn't know about it yet. I'm slowly working on getting my permit in order to get my license. Also the bf i left? Still around. Love can be complicated sometimes, regardless in which direction its going or coming from. I want to say i'm decently happy, however i don't believe that I'm at a point in my life where i'm close to satisfied. Maybe i should stop looking at my shortcomings and realize my grass is green. The way i feel is the way that i think i end up crashing my diet. Grandma is really sick...has been sick since March. I've managed to graduate twice and yet i'm still striving for one more diploma. I've been pretty stressed lately...and feeling kind of lonely. Not in a "no one loves me" sense, but in a friendless life kind of way. The older one gets, the harder life becomes. More realizations about oneself and responsibilities needed to get done. I'm still trying to wonder when or what age i plan on moving out. Hoping for the best for tomorrow =)

Present Perplexion
The day is getting closer and closer and i have no idea what to get him, or what to even wear for that day. I'm not sure what we're even going to be doing for the occasion o_o. I really hope its nothing too expensive, yet i want (in my head) a candlelit dinner at night...after that i have no idea lol. We're still struggling with places that we can go to and have fun. He's actually stressing out more than i am...well, besides the holiday, he has other things to worry about. I'm still having trouble with what to give him...i don't even remember what i did last year with Michael. Oh wait, nvm (He had to work that night..and i had the day off). I was thinking of getting a watch for him..something he could bling, bling....but knowing him, he's gonna destroy/lose/forget its not waterproof/or even mistreat it. SOOO...i'm stuck with possibly clothes...but my mother says no, because just like a little kid, they (meaning him and my brother or any guy) won't wear the stuff. Maybe once and that's it...a hat? he doesn't like wearing them for sure. An earring? nope...he's allergic. A chain is too expensive..and it doesn't make sense with him. Shoes? he bought some last month. Cologne was a Christmas gift. I originally wanted to get him an Ipod but he rejected the idea. A new phone for him would be awesome..but he's reluctant to part from the one he has right now. (he's had it for 3 years). I ran out of ideas...i'm extremely picky on what to give him. Not that much, but i want something good for him. Help? lol

I O U Magali
February is the time of the month where flowers and chocolates are exchanged to women and men who follow the tradition of Valentine's Day. Unfortunately for me, it is getting difficult to decide on what to give to Neo. I've had a few ideas, but all of them seem to backfire. or they're just not worthy enough for him to receive (in my eyes lol). There has been a few myths about Valentine's day's origin..but too lazy to post it..Google it peeps, its interesting haha. I would like to say though, that ice skating is loads of fun...yet slightly hard. Pedro went with me to the ice rink on Millenium Park and somewhat taught me how to do it. I felt like a pigeon by the way it balances...eventually i somewhat got the hang of it. Today however, i was supposed to see Magali...but it never happened. My headache woke me up at 3 AM..along with eardrum pain...i didn't fall asleep until 7...i completely forgot about Neo. He decided to stay with me for awhile..he made my morning better. Soon he left to go to work and once again i fell asleep...I remember my mom telling me to stay home to wash and pick up my sister...i managed to only do one of those things. Homework, homework, homework....it never ceases..

Young Goodman Brown
Yes, peeps this story was appalling yet...OMG haha. This time, this chapter on a different book made me get goosebumps during my breakfast hour. I kept getting a shiver down my spine after i finished it, and my yummy Cookie Crisp cereal went to waste...sort of. The professor from my Humanities made us read a short story titled: Young Goodman Brown by Nathaniel Hawthorne. I kinda pictured it would be some lame political short essay...i have no idea why, but i always assume the worst with the titles lol. A few of you probably have already read it, but here goes: It all starts at the town of Salem, where a man named Goodman Brown is going on an adventure towards the forest at sundown. His young bride, Faith, wears a hat with pink ribbons on it, warning and telling him not to go. To start his journey in the morning when the time will be safe and she would be able to at least hold him one last time. Goodman Brown declines and knows the risks he has to take so off he goes into the dead of night. He encounters a weary traveler wearing a cloak and offers to walk along with him. The stranger's looks can pass as Brown's father since there is an old mirror replica of himself in the man. The old man tells him stories of Brown's family past, telling him that all the noble deeds that he thinks his ancestors made are all nothing but lies and coverup the deception and evil in reality happened. He tells him the townspeople he knows are not all they seem...even the wellrespected priest has his secrets. Afraid and suspicious, Brown asks the man to reveal his name but the man merely laughs and keeps walking with a cane on his hand. They hear an old woman down the path and slowly head towards her. The old man touches her shoulder with his cane and she suddenly shrieked "THE DEVIL!". It turns out she was looking for her broom that has been stolen ( "That old woman taught me my catechism" said the young man; and there was a world of meaning in this simple comment [Young Goodman Brown, Nathaniel Hawthorne])..so the Devil stays to help her, but Brown decides to go back to following the path. The Devil leaves the woman behind and keeps on going with Brown. After a while, Goodman Brown takes a break, and the Devil offers to let him use his cane. Brown falls asleep and dreams that Faith has went into the forest, looking for him.She ends up getting attacked by demons everywhere and he quickly runs toward her with desperation trying to make it to his love. When he gets ahold of her demons surround them and they face oncemore the Devil, who wants to baptize them in a pool of red liquid (blood? fire? who knows) He yells at Faith to not pay attention and to keep looking up at heaven..whether she did it or not he'll never know because he woke up sweaty and exhausted from the nightmare. He runs back to the town and sees the morning sunrise coming up from the horizon. He ends up not trusting anyone...not even his beautiful Faith that even ran up to him to kiss him in public, knowing it was forbidden back in those days. He hated the priest for being full of blasphemy and until his deathbed, noone remorsed or prayed for him...I know my version is crappy compared to the real thing, but believe me. Its insane.

"I wus high"
I'm really bored at the moment...so I've decided to post a special blog today(Literally). As many of you have encountered, there is a certain person we know that has grammar issues. I intend to mock her since there is not much to do online at the moment.
My name is Betty (Kung Pow Movie's Villain Voice). i know that most of u hate me fo treatin u all wrong. I dunno y i did it.i got really high that day. i want 2 talk about everythin and anythin i sorry denise n elvia 4 not listenin to u..u's were right. idk wut i was thinkin mayb i was high. i nkow that wut i did wuz wrong cuz it made ppl mad at me. it also made me sad. i'm sorry. i still dunno y ur mad at me but i hope we can still b friends. I give up right now lol. This is seriously making me feel like i'm getting stupider by the minute. As L once called it "teenager (text) talk" is not considered being very educated when a person's in college.

Hunger of Memory
Things are getting slightly better...in school. My English professor is making us read 3 different books about immigration. At first I instantly thought it would be completely boring...and it partially is. Partially. The first book we have to start reading is titled: Hunger of Memory by Richard Rodriguez. There is a quote he has that has intrigued me, and i think obviously is to catch the reader's attention as well. A few of you might probably relate this to your own lives, (I know its something that temporarily reflects my daydreams) but here it is:
"She tells people, her neighbors, that I am a 'Ph. D Professor'. I am doing some writing, she explains. But I will be going back to teach in a year or two. Soon. In private, she admits worry. 'Did somebody hurt you at Berkeley?...why don't you try teaching at some Catholic College?' No, I say. And she turns silently to my father, who stands watching me. The two of them. They know i have money enough to support myself. But I have nothing steady. No profession. And I am the one in the family with so much education. (All those years!) My brothers and sisters are doing so well. 'All i want for you is something you can count on for life,' she says. In honor of my mother and father " (Hunger of Memory. Prologue introduction)
This is a part of the prologue where the author struggles to distinguish his Mexican and American heritage from each other. He feels that the English language that has been enforced upon him and his family was meant for the "social life" outside the house. He valued the Spanish that was spoken between his family because he felt it was a private conversation versus a social one that society wanted. When he heard his father or mother struggle with pronouncing words in english, they seemed so weak and broken to him. Spanish was the only language that would keep that closeness apart from the world. What he realizes later on, is not the language itself but the intimacy behind the words. (remember "L?" you tried to explain how Kyo's words touched you?) The rugged and strained english that he heard his family speak was nothing compared to the soft-spoken and fluent spanish they talked. He found a balance that intimacy was the source that kept people together. Like singing...the words were merely poetry. But the sounds that come from the voice, the feelings of pain and joy were the ones that sent the message out to people. Lyrics are only a part of a great song. The book is slightly boring yet interesting...to some extent. But this is barely the first chapter...i'll see if its good or not.

My 1st Day of School (unedited version)
Oh my flippin God! I did not start the new semester on a great foot! lol..It all started when i woke up this morning to take my sister to school. It turned out that the neighbor was taking her today without knowing that i was available, so i got screwed into having less hours of sleep. So instead i took my sweet time cleaning and making breakfast for myself when i realize that i had to go with my Aunt to get some medicine with my grandmother in 10 minutes. I changed as fast as i could and felt slightly relieved when i remembered that i packed my stuff in my bookbag the night before. I snatched my crap and hopped in the car next to my aunt. She figured i barely woke up since my hair was still a mess...so she gave me a chance to fix myself up abit. Then we were off and came back home...at 11:30. (My class starts at 12:30) I couldn't find the courage to ask my aunt for a ride to the trainstop since she was already running late as well. So i ran (more like fastwalked) to the train as quickly as possible. On the train ride however, i checked my schedule to see which floor and classroom I should run to...it turns out i missed my first class and my second one was halfway done. ( I confused the days with the times last night...my GOD). The lucky part was that I already knew the professor for the first class. The second one however was something i should be completely apologizing to. I ran to my previous english teacher's office and got his syllabus. (He seemed flustered...so it goes on the first day of school) and already got an assignment from him. Next i ran to my second class and saw that everyone was testing (Math...ugghh). My teacher looked scary...she reminded me of Mrs. Kramer from high-school. The same dictator attitude as well...except not as corny. She gave me a test, took it, and walked out completely embarrassed and apologizing for interrupting. Its sad to know that she knows me by my first impression lol. I managed to get ahold of Neo...which was sad to say that we didn't have days to spend together. Fridays he works the whole day...but we caught a loophole between classes and breaks...these schedules are making me debate whether i should get a job or not...it'll make thing difficult. I go into the bookstore with him and we both encounter one of his friends..he was really weird. But i didn't like him...he seemed cool but there was a judgmental feeling i got. As if he was curious as to who i was. Neo instantly turned around to say hi to him and i stayed hidden behind him looking at books. I got the feeling he didn't want his friend to see me either..i certainly didn't. In an odd, but sad way i understand that his friends won't accept us...or me being with him. This is my point of view, but i may be wrong. After that scenario, my book money from financial aid was soo low i couldn't believe it. I decided to take care of it when Neo started class. I ran back and forth until i got my stuff right...pretty exhausting..tired...i forgot i was hungry. Throughout this whole process, i encountered many people from school that i used to have classes with and some that are old people from my grammar and highschool years. My, my...school was a bust.

Poker Face
I have a kink on my neck....i slept crooked on a hard-rock pillow. Days are flying by, and still no job. I'm not the only one in this sort of slump. People need to have connections with other people working on the job in order to get in. Besides that fact, its impossible to attain one at all. I'm starting to believe that even high-class resume's aren't helping. Its all about getting lucky with the job you're trying to get. If you roll the dice right, you might just get a royal flush. I guess i just don't want to play any of the games just yet...i kept getting lemons in the slot machines so i gave up lol. This economy is baaaaaaaaaaaaaaddd bad bad bad. Or maybe i'm just jealous and angry of people who are fortunate enough to say "i'm going to work".The world revolves around money, and in order to get what you want you need a job. So why is it that in the land of opportunity, its impossible??? Yesterday, Jose left back to Oklahoma and won't return until April. (Someone said "good riddance >;[" lol) I wonder if it really was...sadly, it made no difference whether he was here or not. It made an impact on him though...the boy wouldn't stop texting people that he was bored all the time. I think if things hadn't turned out bad with the Beatriz incident, things would've been slightly different. Not that much though...everyone has learned to move on and each has adapted into their own little worlds. Its not a bad thing, but the inner circle we've had isn't as "tight" as it used to be. If everyone is eager enough to hang out like we've done the past week or two, then things would be more interesting.

Insomniac Rant
I'm extremely sleepy right now...but before i actually plopped onto my bed, i noticed that my internet came back. How long its been back for, who knows. A lot of stuff has passed this whole week. I haven't gotten a chance to check my last entry. For starters, i didn't even realize my keyboard was missing (my brother took it to fix his computer...its got a nasty virus). Happy Birthday Magali! I'm really sorry we couldn't make it =(. It was a huge obstacle that i had to overcome. Today i went with Neo to take some of his family to some driving license place..its not the Jesse Jackson one though. We went all the way to 130th and who knows where...it turns out his sister lives in a trailer park home. I didn't know this. We picked up his sister and my first impression of her was that she looked familiar for some odd reason...(Magali, this is the sister that Neo said you reminded him of). She was his height..very warm welcoming...but from the face i saw no resemblance to Magali lol. Her wardrobe on the other hand did. As soon as she started talking, it was as if i've known her for a long time. She had makeup on...which disturbed her little brother. Both of them look happy together...i guess its been awhile since they've seen eachother. Her mother in law reminded me of a puertorican cool mom lol. She swore alot and her eyebrows were very thin...(Neo couldn't stop making fun of her because of that). Her son, which was Neo's sister's bf was like a cartoon character...very odd looking too lol. I didn't like him that much...he was too sleazy...so lazy...he made himself sound retarded everytime he spoke a word. Its as if it was hard for him to keep up with a conversation. All i know is that that was the longest, most awkward quiet car ride i've ever been a part of. Nobody spoke for like 2 hours...when Neo's sister's family got out of the car, it was like a breath of fresh air. She's really cool...all 3 of us were having fun. But as soon as they stepped in, back to silence. After driving all the way to almost Indiana, Neo and I had to run back to my house. Once again, i apologize Magali that i didn't get to see you on your special day...i hope you a really happy one =).

Bowling's Hard...
I'm quite sad that i didn't get to see Neo today...even though we've hung out the past 2 days lol. Yesterday my dad invited his whole side of the family for dinner. Everyone came and everyone once again asked for Neo (in which he was on his way). We also went bowling with my family and my aunt's family. It was odd that my parents wanted to come along, but it was my aunt's idea after all. The place was really packed so it was getting really boring for us to wait for a reserved turn. Nobody's been bowling before except for my aunt, dad, and aunt's husband. It was hard, but it was really fun at the same time lol. The bowling balls are heavy,...both me and Neo were struggling along with my brother and a stepcousin. At least we each all got a strike before the end of the day. It felt really awkward having my family get along with Neo...my mom didn't do much, but my dad kept hovering around us everytime we drifted away from the group. We weren't doing anything serious, but we were really bored and wanted some privacy to talk. My dad popped out of nowhere sometimes. Once we were walking around inside the building looking for a place to sit and it was by the exit's direction. I was the one leading, so i held his hand while we both looked and since we found nothing we turned around. We seriously bumped into my dad behind us asking where we were going and we told him. He had a sneaky suspicious look about him and told us to look at something on the other side of the bowling alley. Seriously, when does this man stop??? Its getting frustrating trying to make him to trust me or Neo.

Last entry of the Year 2008
Its been a few days since the last time i've blogged. Since this is the last entry for the year 2008, i've been trying to come up with ways to end it like a big bang..well the blogging of this year lol. I can't really remember what happened in January of this year...except Valentine's day sucked...i think. By March, Michael wasn't in the picture anymore. I remember he kept trying to get back with really gross voicemails. My friend that used to work at McDonald's told me that he's been hanging out with 2 other guys, just walking around like crackheads. Who knows. I remember how i would stop talking to Hector, only to end up talking to him again back and forth. In the end it turned out pretty neutral...we keep our distance but we're still good friends lol. This summer was my cousin's Quinceanera at Mexico...very lovely. But she was really picky and expensive of everything she wanted. Her waltz was so cute! She was a toy doll that had a windup thingy in order to make her dance with the boys. I just got annoyed at her older sister cause she had a crown, and the birthday girl didn't (jealousy anyone?). The little girls were also dressed like my cousin...but its because the parents were spoiling them as well. Envious people all over the place. When we came back, i was of course jobless (to this day haha). Started school again and found Pedro while meeting other new people. By the end of the semester i found my lifeguard and still with him to this day...That pretty much wraps up the highlights of the year. I've noticed that my attitude has changed from grumpy and whiney to relaxed and somewhat filled with happiness =). I've found positive things in negative setbacks. I never could do that before. I feel like i've gone through some sort of rollercoaster ever since i started with Neo...and strange enough i'm still hanging on. Usually i barf and call it quits...but no, i'm actually hanging on. To top it off, Beatriz hasn't been involved in this whole year and maybe hopefully things go well for her. Out with the rotting old, in with the brand new.Starting the new year with brand new things, places, people to look forward to, whether good or bad. Lucky year number 4...the testing year.

Christmas 2008
Happy Holidays everyone! The party is still carrying on from Christmas Eve to Day. We've had plenty of pozole and tamales to look forward to. Plenty of booze. Next stop: my aunt's house. According to her, we're gonna be eating "pasteles" (a puertorican style tamale...very good!) some chicken scratch (literally) and puerto rican rice...with bread pudding for dessert. My cousins we're too pissed to come over to our house. They were mad at eachother for some...odd reason. My aunt called both of them drama queens. I couldn't get her to stop talking about her kids to Neo. My family got along with him very well...at least they were polite to eachother lol. But Neo was having fun watching my relatives quarrel like drunks with one another. I just didn't like the fact that my aunt knew who he was...well at first i didn't understand why Neo was tripping out about it. My cousins and Neo are lifeguards, and so she assumed that they all knew eachother. But it turns out that my cousins were lifeguards before him (Neo was still in the swimteam back then). But every person my aunt named, he knew..almost lol. She explained that everywhere my cousins went, she was at. She knew almost everyone that was on a swimteam because of her kids. She kept bragging on about their awards and achievements. Later on he told me that he freaked out that she actually remember him..(my aunt visits ALOT of schools..so I understood why he would be shocked...who the heck memorizes a face? crazy pedophile aunt lol) After that scenario he went off to his sister's house. But before he left, i told him my weirdest dreams...and one i remember that made me ask him for his number the first time (remember "L"ady? How it went from fuzzy to him?) He thought about it and smiled really big lol. I gave him my gift and off he went =).

Keeping Sane
It's late and the whole family is still awake...i'm freakin tired...sleepy...and cold. My dad is going to be here tomorrow...and i haven't seen Neo. I think he's upset about it..i wouldn't blame him. I miss him too, but our only boundary is my dad. My dad knows about him, he knows that i'm with him, but he doesn't want me hanging out with him too much. I really...can't find a balance. Christmas is just a few days away and my parents hadn't bought anything for the dinner or presents (my mom wants to make the feast AGAIN...she's really pissing me off). I was personally hoping my aunt would do it this time since there's more room and good different stuff to eat...not a regular mexican banquet. That and Neo's house isn't that far from my aunt's house, so it won't really be a problem. He's still coming...what worries me is how long i should let him stay. My dad has a reputation of talking ALOT of things when he's drunk. (this is one of the reasons my aunt "can't make it cause i'm working...maybe some pizza later?"). My uncle probably won't be able to come since HE gets so drunk he can't drive. So...i'm not really looking that forward to the holiday this year. I would visit Neo's family, but they don't really do anything to celebrate. All i know is i got him a present that i've been proud of since the day i got it lol. Usually i cry in pain and agony for spending so much money, but i was actually literally happy. Pedro is a witness. Hopefully things go well with this whole Christmas fiasco...hopefully.

Colin of London
This morning was a real drag...i had to go to my sister's performance of her little "dance". I thought it was adorable! It reminded me of the good ol' days at Saucedo when we had to do embarrassing stunts. My brother was taping it all of course...but when i look again i see a girl holding him. (wtf?) He told me that it was a girl that he liked back in grammar school but they never told eachother (she liked him too). At that point i was like "uh oh"..i was pretty worried about my brother's gf's absence. At the same time, i got along with the girl quickly than with his current one. The thing that grossed me out the most was that she looked exactly like one of our cousins from Mexico. Maybe its a good thing that he stuck with the current one...lol. I just cut my hair =). I went to the salon Colin of London and it was located in the fanciest street I've ever seen in Chicago. There were HUGE brand name stores...more like shops. The architecture of the stores are somewhat the old school version. Good names like Prada, Juicy Coutore*, Louis Vutton, etc etc. The lady that attended me was sooo beautiful. (very poop Magali). She had very pretty green eyes, with dazzling makeup. Her hair was very curly and with a deep red color. Her dress was black and short with lace sleeves...a cute pendant and gator green pumps. The service was really nice...it felt good to be pampered lol. We started talking about things that interest us, and a little bit about our lives. Turns out she's half mexican, half italian. She has a little girl and a bf (she broke up with her ex-husband). We were talking about movies, the weather, the holidays, the hairstyles and treatment...she even gave me some advice on how to be presentable for Neo's parents. She was really awesome. No pics, I'm tired of sending pics, I'm not posting any, forget it! lol. The weather is crummy...my shoes are useless in the snow. Its not that cold, but the snow slush is everywhere. Especially around the sidewalks where people have to cross. My shoes sucked so bad it felt like i was walking barefoot in the snow. It even got stuck in the snow once. I can't wait for tomorrow...=)

Boo!

Lovely snow! Soft droplets that gently land on the cold, hard, ground. Each of them with uniquely crafted shapes and sizes. A warm hearty laughter is heard throughout a quiet neighborhood as I hold on to him to try to regain my balance from almost falling backwards. Stupid ice. At least I made him smile. I should have gotten new shoes, but no money...i can't believe I'm actually saying those words now. I only have emergency money..well that's what i call it so i don't spend recklessly. Things have been going well so far...i'm slightly nervous of meeting his parents though. His dad is easy to meet, but his mother is described like if he was exactly like my dad. His sisters seem happy for him...he described them as always having a huge grin on their faces when i come up in the conversation. We'll see. I should really stop procrastinating on getting a haircut...(even Neo got a trim. Kinda feel left out lol). We went to the stores to find him a new coat..in which was a hard thing. Some he didn't like, some made him itchy, and he doesn't like puffy...so he settled on a Columbia-style jacket. He liked it because it turned into a vest lol. Pretty resourceful. He got some new shoes as well...i like em =). Boys are such simpletons...they get anything that fits and there you go lol. I have alot to learn.

Pigeon Meal
Living hell is where i reside. My dad's planning to take two weeks off from work to stay home 24/7. Bummer...on a side note, I'm planning to cut my hair. I hope its nothing way too drastic, but something really interesting. The salon is called Colin of London..and it looks extremely expensive. But everything i have is payed for so its free lol. I'm not sure what i want yet, but i don't want really short hair. I already registered for the next semester at school, and sadly no job yet. Sooo lazy to actually look for one. I've been hanging out with Neo these past couple of days (my mom gave him that nickname,...i think she really likes him lol). I haven't seen him in 2 days and i miss him already =(. We were supposed to hangout today but i didn't reply to his text on time. Maybe tomorrow...or Tuesday...or Wednesday. Now i know how Magali feels lol. Today my family and I had Popeyes for dinner. It was pretty funny. As soon as i placed the bag on the table, my brother and I started washing our hands and taking a seat. Meanwhile my dad was watching from a distance as my siblings started opening the boxes of food. We started piling our plates and my dad took evasive action. He tried to stop the conversation with my uncle (He was on the phone this whole time) so that he could make it to the food. I couldn't stop laughing. He sat down and started complaining as to why everyone was eating before him after he payed for the meal. My brother, sister and I ignored him and kept munching on and on with chicken, biscuits, fries, and mashed potatoes. It reminded me of a pigeon that didn't want to be left behind after his fellow feathered friends ate most of the seeds or breadcrumbs. That became the highlight of my day...wish i could say otherwise. *sigh*

Beautiful Blue
Wow, the days are passing by quick. Today I've done an early Christmas shopping spree....not for me though. I found my college buddy and we both wandered in downtown to find something for her bf. She wanted to get him some Jordans because that was his favorite brand...(why??). We tried thinking of places where it would be less expensive, but there was no way out. When i took my bawling friend out from the store (she spent $150) i took her to the store she loves the most. She's a Wet Seal fan. The manager knows her already lol. Soon she had to get to class and Pedro popped into the picture. I walked my friend to school and met up with him on the street oncemore. We both walked into Ulta* (is that how its spelled Magali?) and got intoxicated with the scents for men's cologne. We couldn't find anything that we agreed on...both of us had trouble trying to make a decision between 2 different ones. So we went to the most coniving and sneaky people from Macy's to help persuade us into getting one (dumb decision...but the choice is finally made). I had bought a gift set of Bvlgari for my bf..it smells wonderful. It's called Marine, and well...i think it made sense as to why i got it lol. Pedro couldn't decide between Dolce & Gabbana and Peri Ellis The lady that helped him wasn't making it easier either...AND she showed me the tactics they use to get what they want. (racist comment, but i finally figured out a part of why they think and act the way they do). She was really careful..she thought me and Pedro were together. As soon as I mentioned my bf however, she was all over poor little Pedro lol. She kept rubbing his cheek and complimenting him alot. Pedro on the other hand was getting frustrated and ended up buying the Peri Ellis...he also got a free bag. PLUS he got a sample of the one i got. PLUS he got another tubey thing of the new Daddy Yankee one that recently came out. I got the same...but the boy is trully full of luck.

Singing in the Rain
I passed my english class with flying colors. A perfect score. (Thanks for the brain rub Magali, i got another thing as well ;D) Throughout the whole train ride i was getting nervous. The closer i got, the more revolting my stomach felt. I couldn't remember feeling so nervous (besides last Friday ;)). I kept thinking bad things all through the ride. All this blogging has definitely paid off. As i foretold, most of the freshman were too airheaded to understand how important the test was. There was a girl in my class who couldn't stand the teacher. I thought he was pretty good. When she got her score, she BARELY passed. A 5+ and a 5- would've automatically failed her. But the goodhearted teacher was lenient on her and gave her a 6- (its required if there's 2 equal numbers, the professor of the student evaluate them as well). I pointed out that if it wasn't for him, she wouldn't have moved on to the next level. There was about 1/4 of the class who didn't pass the exit exam. As all freshmen do, they started asking everyone whether they passed or not. It was kind of disrespectful for the ones who didn't ( I was once in that position). Few people got double 6's and i was one of them =). I literally jumped with joy in front of the professor lol. Then i was off to get me some breakfast at McDonald's ( i miss the egg mcmuffins) and i found my old manager Joey. (Wtf?!) I started talking to him for awhile and told him how much i missed the skank. I got a 3rd number haha. How strange that Pedro wasn't around. Either way, people were exchanging numbers to old classmates to keep in contact over the holidays. I hung out with some college friends, then with some of their friends, and eventually found Pedro (i see him everywhere) and Ana came with us. We talked about the old days and random things that came into mind. Pretty cool day...with droopy snowflakes.

"L"ady's Sidekick
One final down, two more to go. I should keep in mind Criminal Investigation for next semester. I'm slightly nervous at my outcome from english for tomorrow. A little bit. I can't believe how fast time is passing by...in less than a few weeks it's going to be a new year. Today wasn't so bad..i hung out with Pedro as usual. But before that, i was talking to Herminio when i notice a skank eyeing him from a distance. She went up to him and asked a really stupid question. Something about speech. I remember he told me that the class is already over and that it wasn't necessary to go the next day. I just remember hearing her giggling and curling her hair with her finger. I couldn't believe she actually did that. He was acting pretty normal though. I looked away for most of the conversation, but i bet if i wasn't there she would've suggested something more. I trust him, but i don't trust her. I didn't like it. Is it a crime to be jealous? I am overreacting? maybe a little. She had no idea that he was with me though...but i guess it served as a good test as to how he would treat other people.Well after that i went to the library to meet up Pedro. I found an old friend i knew since the beginning of my college years. After all this time i got his number lol...and behold Pedro steps in! We couldn't stop laughing. (Maybe he is lucky?) I took the final and left home early...at the Ashland stop though, i got a surprise on the pink line i was getting on. I swear i didn't realize she was there...i didn't see anyone on the train seat before yet she was there all along. Silly "L" waved at me as i finally got a seat. (wtf?!) It was pretty early when we got at the Kedzie stop. When we walked out i found Sammy and Juan from Farragut. (These people graduated after us..they were going to downtown to iceskate at 6PM...idk why) I said hello with hugs and kisses? (Juan stuck out his cheek) and both "L" and I were on our way to Walgreens. It became the second part of her journey...quest..adventure thing lol. Interesting day, no?

Freakin Finals
I finished my essay last night as promised (to myself). I still have a few things to do, some extra credit to cover, but now that the essay is done with i guess i can be a little lenient. That thing was really hard. I'm working on philosophy terms as we speak. I...can't wait for the semester to end. I want it over with. Done. Finished. No more until next year. There really isn't much going on except the pressures of finals in school. My family seems to be more...relaxed. Its very unusual to see them all this way. That or its gotten tense because my brother parked the van in an area where they broke the window. I'm not sure how the story goes, but it happened. That boy doesn't know when to appreciate what they give him. I have been Christmas shopping though...for myself lol. There's a million sales here and there...one in which i missed ($12 jeans at Old Navy...damn it!). Snow is everywhere now...including deadly ice. Love the fluffy white snow, hate the slippery bloody ice. Things have been running really smooth lately, so not much to complain about lol. That is until i get my english 101 results, then i'll begin to bawl and cry. My eating and sleeping pattern has changed drastically. I can't seem to stay up past 12:30 without almost falling asleep on the phone or computer. I wake up at 8AM on the dot everyday, even on weekends. My hunger is pretty much stronger 3 times a day. I hope that this isn't a bad sign. Or maybe it's because i've been drinking plenty of water. Who knows. All i know is that this winter is soooo interesting, there's no time for depressing thoughts.
